Firucci

Since 1981, the Melbourne company has become a byword in French, Spanish and Italian fashion jewellery and giftware. It is also renowned for its evening bag collections designed by Firucci's founder, Jane Wainscott and her daughter, Gretchen. Their new season range combines elegance and glamour to perfection.

Trendi Bijoux

Each season, renowned Tuscany jewellery designer Anna Ciampolini and her team of cool hunters release a fresh collection inspired by numerous influences from street fashion to Impressionist art. Melbourne distributor Bel-Eve will also showcase other temptations including Spanish fine wool scarves and hand-painted resin jewellery.

Pala Design

What kind of minds would borrow Pala, the fictional island in the final novel by English literary great, Aldous Huxley, as the name for a handbag label? Sharp, creative ones - namely Brisbane-based mother and daughter, Caroline and Claire Downie.

"I worked in fashion for years - everything from retail to designing women's wear - and mum was regional marketing manager for a cosmetics firm," says Claire. "We figured that between us, we had the skills to run our own company." Read more...

Buddha to Buddha

American actor/rapper Snoop Dogg is a big fan of Buddha to Buddha. Numerous other celebs are equally hooked on the fashion jewellery label founded by Holland's Batul Loomans. The look is unique: bold and chunky, yet highly detailed. The latest collection features combinations of sterling silver and leather.

Juko Jewellery

The label may be unfamiliar in Australia, but it's a different story overseas. Melbourne's Dully, Sam and Julie Lee are the design trio behind the bold, edgy fashion jewellery - mostly in dazzling acrylics, plus pewter and steel - stocked by leading stores from Bloomingdale's and Macy's in the US to Tsum in Moscow.

Azul

Imagine fashion jewellery that looks and feels like ivory, yet is the last word in eco-friendly. Azul, the brainchild of dynamic Sydney duo, Susanah Morales and designer Angela Henao, has the goods. The elegant handcrafted pieces are made from one of nature's miracles, the South American tagua nut, also known as the ivory nut.

Leethal Fashion Accessories

Gail Lee loves her new hand-knotted leather bags with their 3-D effect. Leethal's founder/designer has a raft of other centre-stage pieces. The Picasso Classic Cuff, the Lotus necklace, the Ring Clutch topped with bold semi-precious stones, the plaited Python chain belt, scarves for drama and romance...In a word, stunning.

Pink Poodle

Cologne-based brothers Michael and Jorg Knobloch began in 2003 with funky camouflage covers for cigarette packets. That was the start of Pink Poodle, the innovative accessories brand that has blitzed internationally. Handbags, belts, wallets, cosmetic bags - all are at the cutting edge of German lifestyle design.

Lara Hall

For more than 40 years, Lara Hall's parents were wholesale jewellers. Since taking over the family business, the Sydney designer and importer has specialised in sterling silver - finely handcrafted pieces often enhanced by semi-precious stones, freshwater pearls, crystals and more. Themes range from the exotic to floral romance.

Lettuce by HLA London

Adrian Lisle and Ryan O'Neill looked set for a legal career after they graduated in law/politics from Britain's Durham University. Instead, the pair opted for fashion and launched Lettuce, devoted to trendy scarves. The colourful, intricate delights in finest cotton voile and linen are boutique favourites and now sell at David Jones.
